Only a K or a group starts with a K can fill the position of an empty tableau pile. You may also move groups of cards among the tableau piles according to this rule and reveal the remaining downturned cards on them. The topmost card on the discard pile can be moved to a tableau pile if the topmost card on the tableau pile is in alternate color and an immediately higher ranking, for example, the 6 of spades can be moved to the top of the 7 of hearts or the 7 of diamonds. Before moving to the foundations, the cards can be temporarily placed on the tableau piles. 1 upturned card is dealt to the top of each tableau pile, then 3 upturned cards will be dealt to the discard pile and the remaining downturned cards become the stock pile, which is placed at the top left corner next to the discard pile. The game starts with 7 tableau piles containing an ascending number of downturned cards from left to right.
